Judeo-Christian Beliefs Exhibit
While the Hall of Relics and Miracles covers the more mystical and supernatural elements of Christian beliefs, this exhibit exists within the Hall of World Religions and Mythologies to examine the historical aspects of Judeo-Christian beliefs. Also detailed here are specific aspects of Christian beliefs, such as exorcism and culture-specific miracles.
The first two items deal with Judaism - the menorah and the Hebrew Bible. The next two items are both related to the idea of the Milagros, the Christian miracle icon as manifested in Mexican Catholic culture. After that, two miniature idols, one from the former Syro-Hittite reigon and another from Ancient Egypt, explore some Pre-Christian religions. Finally, a 1974 issue of MAD Magazine provokes thought on the topic of exorcism.
