This plaster cast is of a track made by the alleged Honey Island Swamp Monster and was obtained by Harlan E. Ford in 1974. Ford and a hunting buddy emerged from Louisiana's pristine Honey Island Swamp with tracks of casts they claimed to have discovered near a wild boar that lay with its throat gashed. (For an investigative article on this case see Joe Nickell, "Tracking the Swamp Monster," Skeptical Inquirer 25:4, July/August 2001, pp. 15-18.)
